I can’t entirely express the my love for Pampered Chef’s Deep Covered Baker.. because it’s too immense! So needless to say, I use mine quite often! I especially enjoy using it for microwaving my meals. YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW IT WAS MICROWAVED! It’s quick, it’s easy, and it is soooo a-mazing!
So anywho… here is my version of Beef & Broccoli using the DCB in the microwave!
BEEF & BROCCOLI RECIPE
Adapted from Damn Delicious.
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 pounds boneless beef chuck roast, sliced and cubed
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 bag of frozen broccoli
Pour beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and garlic into a mixing bowl. Wisk together and set aside.
Place your thin sliced/cubed beef into your DCB and pour the sauce mixture over it. Gently mix the meat into the sauce as if marinating it.
Place the lid on your DCB and microwave for 15 minutes. (Stir at 10 minutes and resume) While beef is in the microwave, mix your cornstarch into 1/4 cup of water. Set aside.
Once the beef is cooked (we like ours more like a medium/well) stir in the cornstarch mixture. After that is stirred evenly toss the frozen broccoli into the baker and mix well. Place in the microwave and cook for 6 minutes. (Or until broccoli is cooked)
Easy as Easier than pie! We placed ours on top of rice and devoured it!
