This project was super simple and only took me about 30 minutes to create! You can’t beat that!
I had this old burlap wreath I had made a while back, and I wanted to dress it up to create something new. I only had one other Valentine’s Day wreath and unfortunately in the move it was ruined. So I wanted to make something that I could not only re-purpose later on, but something for the upcoming holiday!
The supplies list is very easy too, and most likely it consists of things you already have! So recycling the supplies is possible!
DIY RECYCLED VALENTINE WREATH
Craft Glue Dots
- First I traced out all the hearts and the shapes for the LOVE banner. Cut and set aside.
2. Then I placed the letters on the felt and used the craft dots to adhere them to the banner. Once the letters were in place, I then flipped the banners to the backside and placed dots on each top corner of the pendants. I then lined the string along the dots to connect them, and covered the dots up with scrap felt so that they wouldn’t stick to the wreath while assembling.
3. I then placed the hearts along the wreath to make sure they could space out correctly. Then I adhered them to the wreath with craft dots.
4. Finally I just simply tied the banner to the wreath, and trimmed the excess string. Easy!
I really think it looks darling when it is hung in place! I wasn’t quite sure how I would like using the valentine colors with the burlap.. .but I think it turned out adorable. I partnered it up with a cute antique child’s chair. The bold red looks sharp with the wreath!
Even with the simplicity of the project, I think it looks great! I am excited to have recycled an old wreath and create something new with it. The best part is… I didn’t spend any money on this!
I bet that you have an old wreath that you could recycle as well! Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
