We have an exciting announcement to make! In a previous post, Why we are Grieving and Celebrating, I let everyone know that we had some good news! We are expecting baby K #3! After a long year of trying, wives tales and doctor visits included… and finally just accepting that maybe this wont happen, we got an amazing surprise! Christmas day we finally tested positive, and a few weeks later we had an ultrasound to prove it. God is good! And now we are excited to share with you… is it a He or a She?
Well… It’s a girl!!! The Lord is truly giving us a blessing. We had prayed for a little one for so long, and would have been happy with any gender. But for some reasons the signs were there ahead of time! For example: for the life of me… we couldn’t decide on a boy’s name! We did however pick a girl’s name right away.
This little girl is so psyched to be a big sister, and is already picking out toys to share with her. She often just lays her hand on my belly and even asked me to “dress up” the baby when we were playing with her Dress-Up Station! So we tied a fuzzy scarf around my belly and that was that. I will not however be showing that photo. ha!
The big brother is even more excited, if that is even possible? He has been constantly asking to “see pictures of what the baby looks like right now”, thoughtfully tracking the progress. He has also said many times, “yes! I’m glad it’s a girl because now that means I’m THE MAN!”. Adorable!
We are so blessed, and are feeling so full lately! With all the changes in our lives over the last few months, most that have been pretty severe, this couldn’t have happened at a better time. With every kick and every future moment with our little Lillian Elizabeth I am comforted in knowing that my own Mother is with her every step of the way… even before she is born. What greater gift could the Lord have given us after losing Mom… but a new baby girl.
