Our home has officially grown by 2 little adorable feet. (With all ten toes!) Lillian Elizabeth was born on Wednesday, August 31st! Starting out at 6 lbs and 15 oz, 18 inches long… She may be a little peanut, but she has filled my heart with such joy!!! We are feeling very blessed in our crazy home of 3 kiddos 5 and under.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
~ Psalm 139:14 from KJV
We had been praying for a new addition to our family for well over a year, once we were ready to go a different route the Lord surprised us with some amazing news. It was Christmas Eve and just for giggles I took a test… and it was positive! We were so elated, and shocked! It seemed our waiting had finally been over.
After finding out about our little surprise and ringing in the New Year, our family was faced with a few heavy challenges. A week after hearing our little ones heartbeat the first time, we lost my mother to a life-long disease. The heart ache has been so immense, but in truth… the moment Lillian was born she brought with her such a sense of healing. My children were my mother’s world, and I know Baby Lilly would be no different. It brings me joy and an overflowing love to know the Lord provided us with a new life.
In the same way I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born,” says the Lord.
~Isaiah 66:9 from NCV
Her personality has been pretty laid back, full of sweetness and snuggles. My older two kiddos are loving her up! They have been so interested in her, helpful, and even show a sense of protection that I know Lillian will always been taken care of.
My heart is full, OUR hearts are full! We can’t wait to see what she becomes, how she grows, and how she will continue to fill our hearts with such love!
So the child grew and became strong in spirit
~ Luke 1:80 from NKJV
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above…
~ James 1:17 From KJV
Before I was born the LORD called me; from my birth he has made mention of my name.
~ Isaiah 49:1 from NIV
My Dear Lillian,
You are our little Miracle Baby. The moment I first heard your little (not so little) cry, I felt an immense abundance of love. You don’t know this yet, but you really are so loved. Your little hands, and little nose have brought a healing touch to so many hearts. It may sounds like a big job for such a little girl, but I think it means that you a destined to do great things. To bring such joy to so many already, you have accomplished more in your young life than some have in years!
We prayed for you for so long, and now here you are! I promise to always be grateful for what you have already brought to our family, and I will always remind you that are something special!
