There has to be something in the water because not including myself, I have 8 of my girlfriends give birth in the last 4 months or so! Crazy right? Crazy… but such a fun blessing! Our little one was born in the middle somewhere, and she will forever have some really adorable friends to grow up with.
Having baby number 3 has been… interesting. HA! It’s been a balancing act, but also a blessing of course. So when it comes to taking care of myself, I tend to place myself on the back burner. Why do we Moms do this to ourselves? I try my best to make sure the kids are happy, the toys are picked up, supper is at least thought of, and my hubby get’s some attention at the end of the day. My priorities are written on my hands and it can be exhausting!
However, when I had Lillian I decided that I would take the time I needed to worry about myself once in a while. There were a few essentials that I picked up for myself because I knew they would make life easier. Some are pretty, and some are necessary! For example: Preparation H® Medicated Wipes. They aren’t a pretty topic, but the truth is, post-baby isn’t always sunshine and toothless giggles! It can take a toll on your body, and luckily there is a product that has our
back -er behind.
So the unmentionable topic of down below may be off topic for some, but for me…I felt the need to spread the necessary love. When one of my friends had her number 3, I wanted to make sure that she had the chance to enjoy some of the products that have gotten me through the last 2 months. I created a basket of goodies for her! A New Mom Gift Basket!
Here are products I picked up at my local Wal-Mart to help my New Mom Friend survive!
DIY NEW MOM GIFT BASKET SUPPLIES:
Basket (Something cute that they can reuse for those adorable bibs or extra diaper storage)
Tissue Paper/ Bow
Magazines (For late night nursing eye candy)
Cute Water Bottle (To keep mom hydrated)
Hair Ties (To tie back hair for diaper changes and nursing)
Snack Bars (For snacking and to increase calories while nursing)
Preparation H® Medicated Wipes (To help with the discomfort that comes along with becoming a Mom)
Breast Pads (A necessary comfort for those first few weeks of nursing)
A Muslin Receiving Blanket (Because you want to get something useful and cute for the babe)
Do you have a friend who is getting ready to, or has recently had a new bundle arrive? Lot’s of people focus of gifting for the new baby and rarely focus on the Mom. Why not give her something that she can use and something she can enjoy.. Just for her!
OK. So let’s talk. Woman to woman, Mom to Mom. I had such a hard time after Lillian was born with the whispered topic of discomfort from being constipated. Let’s face it… it happens! With the help of Preparation H® Medicated Wipes I was able to make this process a little easier so I could focus on enjoying the happy moments of being a new mom. This product helped with the discomfort of post-baby hiccups. With Wal-Mart being a one stop shop for all the things I needed, I was able to pick these up too!
If you would like to pick up some of these products you can find them all at your local Wal-Mart! Preparation H® Medicated Wipes can be found in the pharmacy aisle.
Over the next few weeks I will be surviving one day at a time with the help of my favorite products! My network of mommy friends are one of my biggest survival tools. By sharing tips, tricks, and stories we will survive motherhood together! What is one tip or product that you wouldn’t survive post-baby without?
If you enjoyed this post, you will LOVE these!
