Raise your hand if you have everything ready and sorted for the holiday? Crickets Crickets… Exactly! Who has the time for all that? Especially when you are the one entertaining, or have kids, or a family, or are breathing! If you have it all together… I will pat you on the back myself and bring you coffee so we can chat about how the heck you did it all!
Before we get cookin’ let’s get real…
I’m excited for the holiday and I have my decorations strung, but when it comes to getting the meal ready I get nervous! Is it me or are those last 10 minutes before the meal is on the table hectic? I am always making sure everything is heated or poured or placed. Among the hustle and bustle it can seem like my front door should say “Welcome to Crazy Town!” instead of “Welcome Winter Blessings!”. So this year I wanted to make things easier on myself and create some amazing make ahead appetizers that will tie over the bellies and make a impact. I needed something that took very little ingredients and were also simple to whip up. I know this is a struggle for most of us, so I just had to share them!
If you’re searching for some quick recipes that you can find the ingredients in one place, make them ahead of time, AND tickle your taste buds? Then search no more! Walmart has some great selections, and I was able to find everything I needed for these recipes at our local store. And if you are trying to earn some extra bonus cash, then you have to check out the deals on Ibotta! They basically pay you to go shopping… what kind of place does that? A smart one! Check it out! And don’t miss the extra earnings you can get with the main ingredient for our appetizers, RITZ Crackers!

I found mine in the cracker/ snack aisle!
What is the holiday all about? Is it about the mashed potatoes being done on time? Is it about the hottest toy? In our home we try to hone in on the true meaning behind the season. The birth of that sweet baby Jesus! Most of us know how a baby can make a strong presence in a room full of people, but what about the story of one? The story of that miracle baby sometimes can get lost among the unwrapped presents… That is another reason why I wanted to slow down a little this Christmas. I want to be able to take a breath, and inhale the holiday through and through. I encourage you to do the same. What is one way that your family remembers the reason behind the season? I would love to hear it!
