I can remember literally following my oldest around with wipes everywhere he went and wiping him down at the slightest sign of a dirt spec. I was one of those nervous Moms who thought they would just fall over from a simple grass stain or applesauce spill. HA!
Then… I had Baby K #2 and a whole new attitude came with that bundle of joy! At this point it was all about surviving parenthood and keeping the kiddos happy. And you know what? They were happier when I wasn’t constantly tackling them down to clean those dimples! When I just let them be, to create messy memories, I swear they were at their happiest moments!
So this week we decided to create some artwork for the newly renovated basement playroom! I wanted the kids to really be able to get creative and make memories within the mess. I encouraged them to dig into the paint and just have fun with it! My son, who I followed like paparazzi with wipes, was a little nervous at first. However, once we got started they both really had a great time! I wanted to share this activity with you here are my 5 Ways to Make Painting Fun -For Kids!

My first thought was, I need to come up with some ideas for us to do in the evenings after school and dinner to help with this. That is when they seem to melt down the most. So instead of keeping these ideas to myself, I want to share them with you!
When creatively homespun first kicked off, I shared ideas for 40 at Home Date Nights… and everyone loved it!
We already have traditional family movie nights, and game nights.. but I wanted to come up with some new ideas too. I tried to come up with a list that could grow with us. So some of them can be adapted to better suite the age of kiddos you have. That way when my little ones are grown, it can become a tradition!
